1. Voice Mail Service is offered.
If you receive a lot of phone calls, you don’t have to worry if you lose signal coverage. You have the option to divert all your calls to Smart’s Voice Mail Service. So if you have friends whom call you often, you can ask them to leave a voice mail message when you can’t pick up their calls.
What’s more it’s cheap. Smart prepaid subscribers pay 6.50 per minute to retrieve voice mail messages, while Smart postpaid subscribers pay only 1.02 per minute (take note of the 0.02 because it will be explained later).
2. SIM Card Activation is Fast.
You don’t have to wait for time eternity before your SIM becomes active. Your phone will be able to register to Smart’s network in one hour.
3. Limited Self-Help Available Online.
That’s right. If you don’t want to talk to *888, you can look up your queries in Smart’s web site. They almost have it all.
4. Manage your budget easily for your postpaid plan.
Smart’s credit limit works all the time. You will get notifications once you reach 50% of your credit limit. You also get notifications (either in text or calls).
5. You can check your remaining calls, texts and data.
If you subscribe to any of Smart’s bucket offers, you don’t have to worry if you have already consumed all of them. You also get notifications that your subscription will expire soon. (A plus for people who are scared of bill shock!)
6. The most extensive 3.5G coverage.
In my first month of subscription, I rarely noticed my Android phone switch from a 3G/HSPA connection to a GPRS or EDGE connection.
7. Protection from domestic bill shock.
Whether or not you are subscribed to a data service from Smart, your data charges will never exceed a certain amount. (Last time, it was 1,200 pesos. I don’t know if they reduced it to 999 in line with Smart and Sun’s bill shock protection).
8. Payments gets posted to your account in 24 hours or even real-time
If you pay your account online, your payment gets posted immediately. If you pay using other payment methods, your payment will be posted in less than 24 hours. You will also get a text message once your payment is received by Smart.
how fast is their HSPA? have you ever tried to do a speedtest? TIA.
It’s fast…sometimes 2 Mbps…
Just got my freedom plan today!! 2 hours left till the activation. Expectations are through the roof especially with their data service. I’ll post some updates soon.
this is a dumb question but is the running balance the same as what you’re gonna pay on the due date? it has only been two days since i’ve subscribed to freedom plan so im a bit BANO pa. thanks.
p.s. have you tried alltext100? when i registered for it, the running balance was just 86 pesos something. and then after two days it’s 90.18. why is that? sorry for my stupid questions.
running balance = unbilled charges, the charges you have incurred. (not to be confused with outstanding balance, which has already a billing statement).
Sa merong freedom plan na dito from smart saan usually nagsstart ang # nyo? 0920-9 din ba katulad ng non freedom na postpaid subscriber ng smart?
yup. 0920-9 ako.
Im planning to get one. The same day ba makukuha ang sim kapag nagapply ka? laging available ba ang Freedom sim in all Smart Wireless Center nationwide?
After payment of 250, and less than 20 mins, the sim is already activated. Just take note of the first 30 days for u to consume ur 250 para di sayang. Use it right away.
